CBS Atlanta Targets Gun Magazines

They’ve targeted so-called “high-capacity” magazines; now they’re targeting the kind full of words and pictures. CBS 46 in Atlanta has been airing a series of reports aimed at “presenting the pros and cons of the United States gun debate.” So far, “The Gun Fight” looks to be a pretty one-sided debate.

The latest report from Tuesday rolled out a new anti-gunner term: “gun porn.” Investigative reporter Karyn Greer describes gun porn as “photos of guns that display them in the same carefully posed and lighted manner as the models in traditional pornography.” Greer visited Publix, Kroger and Wal-Mart, only to discover that these “gun porn” magazines—with headlines like “Don’t Be a Victim” and “The Ultimate Guide to Staying Alive”—were easily accessible to young children.

You can only imagine our horror at discovering that our coffee table displays of American Rifleman magazines have for years been offering up porn to our guests and their children.
