Report: As Gun Sales Skyrocket, Visits To NRA.org Explode

Americans aren’t just buying more firearms than ever today—they’re also expressing more interest in the safe, lawful and effective use of firearms, as evidenced by the 72 percent increase in Web traffic to NRA.org in October over September.

According to the online audience analysis firm Compete, in October the NRA home page had the highest number of visitors in two years, that number having risen by 59 percent compared with October 2014.

One of the largest sources of traffic was Google, and one of the biggest draws for visitors was NRA’s popular and provocative “Freedom’s Safest Place” videos. With more and more Americans learning the truth about firearms and their Second Amendment right to own them online, it’s not hard to understand why the Obama administration would want to censor online speech related to firearms.
