The Road to the Rose Garden 'Rounds Nashville

Those interested in the Second Amendment and presidential politics have good reason to visit Nashville later this week when the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits kick off at the Music City Center. While plenty of good music and great fun are on the agenda, politics are always at the forefront at this wonderful gathering of freedom lovers.

The annual NRA-ILA Leadership Forum is one of the most popular and highly anticipated political gatherings in America. At this year’s forum, set for 1 p.m. in the Music City Center’s Grand Ballroom, 11 potential Republican presidential hopefuls will address the NRA members in attendance.

Confirmed speakers include Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, U.S. Sen. Lindsay Graham, Dr. Ben Carson, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump.

Also speaking at the forum will be NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke.

The Annual Meeting of Members is set for Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom. This popular event—always a favorite of many—features LaPierre, Cox and a host of other NRA officers and dignitaries discussing the ongoing fight for our right to keep and bear arms. It will leave you refreshed and ready to take on those who would toss the Second Amendment into the dustbin of history.

The NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will run Friday through Sunday at the Music City Center, and have a host of activities for all ages. Originally expected to draw about 50,000 visitors, latest attendance projections are more than 70,000 attendees—Nashville’s largest ever convention.

In addition to politics, the meeting features a giant show floor where gun and related equipment manufacturers can show off all their new products, book signings by celebrities, country music concerts, auctions, seminars and a youth air gun range open daily for young shooters.
