I Know You Are, But What Am I?

In yet another indication of the sorry state of the quality of the anti-gun debate (see last week’s “Cam’s Corner”), Everytown for Gun Safety released a juvenile video of children repeating excerpts from the speeches of NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. While read completely out of context, we’d argue that the statements are powerful no matter who is reading them. The point, however, is that because the group is unable to formulate an effective argument for their attacks on lawful gun owners, they’ve resorted to being cutesy.

Everytown followed the video with the announcement that they would attend this week’s 144th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Nashville to act as a “counterbalance.” At last year’s NRA convention in Indianapolis, they mustered less than 50 protestors to “counterbalance” the 75,000-plus NRA members in attendance.

A1F could not confirm rumors that Everytown plans a sequel to their video featuring the voice of Michael Bloomberg coming from bleating goats that sound human.
