San Francisco Released A Felon And Unleashed Tragedy

Last Wednesday, pregnant 32-year-old Kate Steinle was shot to death as she walked with her father on San Francisco’s Pier 14. In an interview with KGO-TV, confessed shooter Francisco Sanchez claimed to have taken sleeping pills and then found the gun wrapped in a T-shirt. When he picked it up, it fired three times on its own. While Steinle lay dying on the pier, he kicked the gun into the bay, lit a cigarette and strolled away.

Sanchez is a convicted felon and illegal immigrant who has been deported to Mexico five times. Federal officials had turned him over to San Francisco authorities to face drug charges, asking to be notified after the case was resolved. Instead, city officials released him, citing SF’s “sanctuary” status.

It is simply unconscionable for San Francisco bureaucrats to enact policies that endanger their citizens while at the same time robbing them of their right to bear arms.
