Smash ‘N’ Grab Ends Badly For Burglars

Three males, ages 17, 18 and 20, probably thought to themselves of their planned early morning activities, “What could possibly go wrong?” It was 4 a.m. on Friday, and time for some fun. So they hopped into a stolen van, rammed it through the window of Bouchard’s sporting goods store in Milwaukee, and were prepared to do a little “shopping.”

What they weren’t expecting was for the owner to be inside … armed and ready. He fired shots at the young men, seriously wounding the 20-year-old. When the other two men took him to the hospital, all three were arrested and taken into custody.

Damage to the store is estimated at $12,000-$15,000. Eddie Parr, manager of the Cricket Wireless next door, offered the men some advice: “I feel like people just need to get a job, get a grind, get something because you see what's happening, you gonna get killed.”
