Chicago Workers Fighting Back Against Crime

posted on January 15, 2016

Can you hear me now? That seems to be the attitude of Chicago employees as, for the second time in a week, a worker used a gun in self-defense.

Late Wednesday morning, two men drew guns as they entered a T-Mobile store. In return, an employee drew his own firearm and shot at the men, who fled the store and then drove themselves to a hospital. Both were treated for gunshot wounds—one man suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm and groin, and the other was shot in the abdomen and left arm.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues. A T-Mobile regional manager said the company allows its employees with concealed-carry licenses to have guns at work.

This foiled attempt comes on the heels of an incident on Saturday where a liquor store employee shot and killed two teens as they tried to rob the store.
