Preemption Legislation On The Move In Pennsylvania

On Monday, the Pennsylvania state Senate passed an important piece of preemption legislation that needs the support of all Keystone State gun owners.

Senate Bill 1330 will now go to the state House of Representatives for consideration.

Gun owners across Pennsylvania have waited long enough for this much-needed reform as they continue to be unduly burdened by local ordinances that violate the current state firearm preemption law. Citizens with no criminal intent should not be placed in jeopardy of running afoul of local restrictions they don't even know exist simply because they have crossed from one municipality to another.

If enacted into law, SB 1330 would strengthen Pennsylvania’s firearms preemption law to further ensure firearm and ammunition laws are consistent throughout the state.
