Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Think Media Are Biased Toward Hillary

posted on November 1, 2016

The Hill on Monday reported on a Suffolk University/USA Today poll that revealed Americans overwhelmingly believe the media is biased toward Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump.

In answer to the question, “Who do you think the media, including major newspapers and TV stations, would like to see elected president: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?”, 75.9 percent of 1,000 adults surveyed answered Clinton, while only 7.9 percent answered Trump. The remaining 16-plus percent chose “neither” or “undecided.”

In addition, last week an Associated Press/GfK poll showed 56 percent of likely voters believe the media is biased against Trump. Surprisingly, over half of Clinton’s own supporters believe media is biased toward her, versus 8 percent who think media is against her.

Can there be any more dramatic evidence of bias than when Hillary’s own supporters—in the face of negative coverage of multiple Clinton scandals—still think the media is in the tank for her?
