Under brutal attack from two armed intruders, a Bellaire, Ohio, homeowner fought back and won on Tuesday night.
According to local media reports, Kenneth Hall and an accomplice came to the home. Hall had a gun, and his accomplice might have also been armed. “They knocked on a subject’s door, the subject opened the door, and they forced their way in, assaulting the homeowner,” Sheriff’s Deputy Chief James Zuzack told theintellegencer.net.
According to Zuzack, the homeowner managed to fight off the intruders long enough to get to his gun, then fired at them, putting an end to the attack. Hall, who authorities believe is suffering from gunshot wounds, is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery and child endangerment. The homeowner had minor head injuries, while his wife and child, who were present at the time of the attack, were unharmed.
The Trace Goes Crazy, Prints True Headline On Election
We’ve gone to great lengths to discredit Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun website, The Trace, for the many lies it tells about guns and gun owners. But on Wednesday, in a rare instance of straying away from twisting half-truths and quoting phony studies, The Trace dropped a truth bomb that has to be seen to be believed.
The feature was headlined, “The NRA Placed Big Bets on the 2016 Election, and Won Almost All of Them.” And while much of the reporting is more negative than positive (go figure), the subhead said all that needed to be said: “Election results mark a continuation of the group's impressive success rate when making large investments on candidates.”
Minor kudos to The Trace for speaking at least part of the truth concerning Election 2016. It’d be nice to see them do the same about the Second Amendment in general, the NRA, concealed carry, armed citizens and other important issues dealing with the right to keep and bear arms.
Clinton Supporters Burn Flags, Assault Police Officers To Show Their Love For America
Before the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Democrats warned of armed participants and mass violence. Then prior to this week’s election, liberals predicted dangerous armed citizens intimidating people at polling places. In the end, neither occurred.
In an ironic turn of events, upwards of 100,000 Hillary Clinton supporters are demonstrating their tolerance and civility by protesting in cities across the country, burning flags, burning effigies of President-elect Donald Trump, burning patrol cars, shutting down freeways and clashing with police, ABC News reports.
Fuelled by outrage on social media, angry crowds assembled in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York City, Oakland, Philadelphia, Seattle and Washington, D.C. to inflame their fellow protestors with incitements like “Time To Revolt.” Wednesday night, California cities from Oakland to Los Angeles saw their second night of protests, with rocks and bottles thrown at police and at least 124 arrested nationwide.
So much for the democratic process, liberal “tolerance” and the rule of law. Wasn’t it supposed to be the other side that was so prone to violence?
One Of Tuesday’s Biggest Losers: “Mainstream” Media
The day after Donald Trump shocked Democrats and the media, The New York Times ran a headline declaring, “It’s Mourning in America.” Indeed, by Wednesday, the grief period was just settling in for most so-called “mainstream” media outlets.
From the moment Trump announced his candidacy, the liberal media launched an all-out assault campaign to discredit and disparage him. Their biased coverage certainly didn’t go unnoticed—a Media Research Center study found that 91 percent of the coverage on Trump from ABC, CBS and NBC was hostile.
They compared him to Hitler, declared him clinically insane; labeled him an imbecile; accused him of racism, xenophobia and misogyny; and likened him to a “raving meth head with a machete.” But they not only got it wrong with Trump, they completely whiffed on the election.
Is it any wonder these so-called “journalists” were shell-shocked at the results? By believing what they wanted to believe, they went down in flames—right alongside Hillary.
Trump Could Possibly Reverse Obama Executive Actions On Guns
In their first meeting at the White House, outgoing President Barack Obama is expected to try and sway President-elect Donald Trump to limit his proposed reversals of several Obama-led policies and regulations. It’s expected to fall on deaf ears. Along with canceling “illegal and overreaching executive orders,” Trump has already pledged to address several other issues including gun sale restrictions.
When Obama declared executive actions to “reduce gun violence” last January, then-candidate Trump immediately swore to “unsign” them. Those specific actions involved changing the definition of who is “engaged in the business” of selling guns, rewriting it to include individuals selling firearms at gun shows. Appearing on “Face the Nation,” Trump said at the time: “I don't like anything having to do with changing our Second Amendment. We have plenty of rules and regulations. There’s plenty of things that they can do right now that are already there.”
