In response to a Democratic presidential debate question on Oct. 13, 2015, Hillary Clinton put the 5 million members of the NRA at the top of the list of enemies she is most proud of.
This is unprecedented: On national television, a candidate for president of the United States named peaceable, law-abiding gun owners, who are simply trying to protect the Second Amendment, as her biggest enemies. She even listed NRA members ahead of Iran—the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Drug cartels, Vladimir Putin, North Korea and ISIS terrorists didn’t even get a mention.
Clinton’s declaration made us wonder how NRA members feel about being recklessly declared her enemy. So we decided to ask them: How does it feel to be named Public Enemy Number 1 by Hillary Clinton?
Today we hear from Madison Gesiotto, conservative commentator, columnist, figure skater, model and Miss Ohio USA 2014.
The picture has never been more clear. Hillary Clinton has named the members of the National Rifle Association as the enemies that she is most proud of.
Along with millions of other amazing NRA members, I am disgusted with Clinton. But the reality is, she is finally telling the truth about something.
She has repeatedly attacked the rights of law-abiding citizens like you and me—Americans who simply want to protect ourselves and our families. That’s right. Clinton is proud to be an enemy of the NRA because she does not support our Second Amendment rights. In fact, she has been unjustly blaming the NRA for the failures in our nation for years.
She has repeatedly attacked the rights of law-abiding citizens like you and me—Americans who simply want to protect ourselves and our families. Earlier this year in Flint, Mich., Clinton told supporters, “I think we have to try everything that works to try to limit the numbers of people and the kinds of people who are given access to firearms.”
Does this sound like a friend of the NRA to you? No way!
Oh, and don't forget, Clinton has continually supported gun-free zones—what I like to call “victim-target zones”—despite repeated instances of Americans losing their lives because they were unable to protect themselves in these areas.
Moving forward, we simply can’t afford to have someone like Hillary Clinton leading this nation.
While Clinton is busy naming the NRA as her enemy, terrorism is getting closer and closer to home. All the while, she refuses to name radical Islamic terror organizations like ISIS and Boko Haram as her enemies, despite the fact that both of these organizations took the lives of thousands of innocent men, women and children while Clinton was secretary of state.
In fact, Clinton’s State Department continually refused to put Boko Haram on the official list of foreign terror organizations, while the Al-Qaeda-linked group was busy murdering, displacing and kidnapping people of all colors, ages, races, genders and religions.
And, of course, ISIS continued to recruit and attack, killing Americans on our own soil while Clinton and President Barack Obama refused to call the group out as a radical Islamic terror organization.
Truth is, Hillary Clinton simply does not support our rights. And we will not support her at the ballot box next Tuesday.
As a proud member of the National Rifle Association, I stand with the millions of gun owners nationwide who want to make sure that our rights are protected—not only today, but for future generations of Americans.
