OSU Student: We Should Be Empowered To Carry On Campus

Madison Gesiotto is not your average law student. Set to graduate in May from Ohio State University’s law school, Gesiotto was crowned Miss Ohio in 2014; is a conservative commentator for Fox News, CNN and MSNBC; and is also a columnist for The Washington Times

On Monday, Gesiotto joined Colion Noir on NRATV’s “CN Live” for a discussion of campus carry in the wake of the terror attack on the OSU campus. Ohio law currently allows for each individual university to determine whether it will allow concealed carry on campus, and OSU administrators have elected not to afford students that protection.

“This creates what I like to call a ‘victim target zone’ on campus,” Gesiotto says. “It leaves students like me and my classmates unable to legally defend ourselves, and especially vulnerable to attack.”

Gesiotto is adamant in her belief that Ohio universities should allow students to carry on campus. “We should be empowered to protect ourselves, and right now, we’re not.”

Watch the interview with Madison Gesiotto above or on NRATV. “CN Live” is one of two dozen original shows that air on NRATV—a network that broadcasts in live streaming HD 24 hours a day, with all episodes available on demand. You can watch NRATV online at NRATV.com, or through Apple TV, Roku, Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV.
