Home Intruder Picked Wrong Doggie Door

A crook that failed to break into a Las Vegas home earlier this week decided instead to try a neighbor’s house. That turned out to be a bad mistake.

According to police reports, a man approached a woman’s home and began banging on the door, trying to break it down. When he had no luck there, the man, who was carrying a 12-inch knife, tried to enter the neighbor’s house through the doggie door. The neighbor, hearing the commotion, grabbed his gun and shot the intruder in the face.

“I think it was very brave,” the woman whose house was first targeted told local media. “I’m glad he did it. It made me feel better—that he’s armed. The detective told me the neighbor very well could have saved our lives.”
