Man Arrested On Gun Charges Third Time In 15 Months

In one of his recent commentaries, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre had a simple message for President Obama on how to stop violent crime: “If you want to stop violent crime, and I know you do, take violent criminals off the street. Prosecute them under the current federal gun laws, and make sure they don’t get to their next crime scene. That’s the way to save lives.”

Case in point: Patrick Brandao, 24, of Brockton, Mass. Last Friday, Brandao was arrested for the third time in 15 months on gun charges. In the latest incident, he was driving with a suspended license, and when officers attempted to pull the car over, Brandao sped off and led them on a car chase through the city. He was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm without an FID card. These follow earlier arrests on gun charges in April 2015 and October 2014.
