When Restraining Order Fails, Kentucky Woman Uses Gun To Stop Attacker

A woman in Pike County, Ky., used her legally owned firearm to stop an attack by her estranged husband.

According to local police, the woman had taken out a protective order against her husband. Last week, however, he entered the house in violation of the court order and threatened the woman.

According to local media, the woman feared the man would hurt her and she shot him. No charges have been filed in the case.
