Alabama Governor Signs Law Benefiting Veterans

Alabama’s governor on Friday signed into law an important pro-gun measure that will benefit those who have served in our nation’s military.

Gov. Bentley singed House Bill 98, sponsored by state Republican Rep. David Standridge. The law will allow qualified, law-abiding, retired military veterans to apply for and receive an Alabama concealed weapon license (CWL) without a fee.

NRA’s Institute for Legislative action thanks Rep. Standridge, Gov. Bentley and all the NRA members and other Second Amendment supporters who contacted the governor in support of the measure.
