An armed Indianapolis man on Monday used his gun to stop a robber and getaway driver who ran him over during the robbery.

According to local media reports, when a customer walked out of a gas station and got in his car, another man approached and tried to rob him. As the two scuffled outside the car, the driver of the getaway car hit the victim with his car.

The victim pulled his gun and shot at the car as it tried to get away. One person inside the car was hit by the gunfire and was taken to a nearby medical center. Police also took several people into custody. According to Fox 59 News, police do not believe the victim did anything wrong and likely won’t be charged.
