Speaking Of Dishonesty—Meet Gov. Terry McAuliffe

posted on June 16, 2016

In statements made Tuesday about the Orlando nightclub terror attack, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has again showed his penchant for twisting half-truths for his own gun-ban purposes.

“I’m all for background checks,” McAuliffe bragged. “Certain individuals should not have access to guns.” Of course, the terrorist murderer had passed several background checks, and everybody already knows that certain individuals shouldn’t have access to guns.

Not satisfied with his own ridiculous proclamation, McAuliffe added, “Red flags had already been raised about this individual. He had been on the no-fly list. How can someone be on the no-fly list and still be able to purchase a weapon?” Obviously the question is out of context, as the killer wasn’t on the list at the time, rather McAuliffe simply used it as a way to push for legislation that could trash due process for law-abiding Americans.

McAuliffe concluded by supporting a ban on semi-automatic rifles—while at the same time saying he was a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
