Dom Raso Takes On AR-15 Haters In New Commentary

Addressing “every political hack pretending you know the difference between an AR-15 and a double-barreled shotgun,” NRA Commentator Dom Raso has released a new video taking on President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and others calling for a ban on semi-auto rifles.

“Stop talking!” Raso suggests. “Every word not only exposes your ignorance, but your utter contempt for those trying to survive in an age of terror you still won’t fully recognize.”

As one who has extensively used both the AR-15 and M16, Raso knows more about the guns than most people. “I was a SEAL for 12 years,” he said. “Now I train average, everyday Americans to protect themselves and their families. And for the vast majority of people I work with, there is no better firearm to defend their homes against realistic threats than an AR-15 semi-automatic.”

Raso also pointed out that nearly every recent mass shooting was stopped by police using semi-auto rifles. “Why would you want to ban the gun that you pray for police to show up with?” he asks.

Now, NYDN AR-15 Writer Whines Over Being Ridiculed

The New York Daily News writer who wrote a laughable column claiming firing an AR-15 gave him “a temporary form of PTSD” is now offended by the laughter.

Gersh Kuntzman had whined about being bruised by recoil, disoriented by flying brass, nauseated by the smell of non-existent sulfur and being left “anxious and irritable.” Now bruised by ridicule, Kuntzman characterized the scorn as internet trolling, and blamed the NRA for trying to deny his First Amendment rights: “You can’t even have an opinion on assault rifles—unless it’s theirs.”

Left little choice, Kuntzman doubled down on the evil AR-15, saying it “felt like a bazooka” and it “scared the crap out of me.” He summed up the “horrifying” experience by writing, “I simpered because my experience with the AR-15 bruised me, body and spirit.”

Gun owners are simpering, too … because our stomachs hurt from laughing.

New York Times Admits Senate Gun-Control Filibuster Was Waste Of Time

The New York Times admitted that the 15-hour filibuster by anti-gun U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., was little more than grandstanding.

In an article titled, “Senator’s 15-Hour Filibuster Gains Path Forward For Gun Control Measures,” author David Herszenhorn wrote, “For all the theater, Mr. Murphy’s main achievement beyond delivering the Democrats’ message on C-Span—and creating a sensation on social media—was to force at least one Republican to remain in the chair as presiding officer, as well as to keep all of the essential Senate clerks and other floor staff members at work for a long night.”

Senate Republicans were already prepared to allow votes on two previously defeated Democrat-sponsored gun-control amendments because they want votes on their own measures.

“Democrats almost certainly would have gotten their votes, anyway—without the more than 15 hours of speeches by him and by at least 40 other senators who helped sustain his effort by asking him to yield time for questions,” wrote Herszenhorn.

But Sen. Murphy got his Twitter feed.

CBS Pretends Buying An AR-15 As Easy As Buying “A Cup Of Coffee At Starbucks”

In a June 16 “CBS This Morning” news segment, the network quoted UCLA School of Law professor Adam Winkler, who claimed, “Throughout most of America, you can go into a gun store and buy an AR-15 just like you’d go into a Starbucks and buy a cup of coffee.”

For that to be true, buying a cup of coffee would require you to present ID, prove citizenship, undergo a computerized criminal background check, comply with a waiting period in many states, and sign an affidavit attesting that you’re not a convicted criminal, fugitive, illegal alien or illegal drug user; not adjudicated mentally defective; not dishonorably discharged; not under indictment or restraining order; not a domestic abuser; and are the actual buyer of that particular cup of coffee—and if you’re caught lying in any of those answers, you’re guilty of a federal felony.

Unfortunately, the truth just doesn’t fit in with CBS’ hysteria-mongering.

Orlando Terror Attack Spurs Purchasing Run On AR-15 Rifles

Firearm sales have spiked across the U.S. in the wake of Sunday’s terrorist shootings in Orlando, Fla., Fox News reports.

With everyone from Hillary Clinton to President Barack Obama to the Boston Globe to Gretchen Carlson of Fox News demanding a ban on semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15—despite the fact that they’re used in a tiny proportion of violent crime—many Americans may be buying them now out of concern that they might be banned or bought out in advance of any ban.

Others may be buying them because they want the same capability to defend themselves that terrorists are using to kill Americans. As Navy SEAL veteran Dom Raso points out, “The only way for us to stay free is by having whatever gun the bad guys have.” And with its durability, reliability, accuracy, light weight and mild recoil, the AR-15 may be the ideal firearm to defend hearth and homeland.

Armed Florida Man Stops Hotel Attackers

A Daytona Beach, Fla., man used his gun to stop three men who tried to forcefully enter his Holly Hill motel room early Tuesday morning.

According to local media reports, the 18-year-old said he fired his handgun at the three men—two wearing costume masks—who were trying to break into his room, but wasn’t sure if he hit any of them. What is sure, however, is that the gunfire put a quick end to the attack, as the three intruders quickly fled the scene.

Police said they found one costume mask and pepper spray when they arrived to the motel. They later found another mask behind the motel in the direction that the intruders fled.
