Florida Woman Stops Home Intruder With A Single Shot

posted on June 23, 2016

A man comes to the door and asks to be let in. You say “no,” but he forces his way in anyway.

It’s a nightmare scenario for any homeowner, but it was a reality for an Ocala, Fla., woman last Sunday.

She was alone in her residence when an unidentified man smashed his way inside. Brian Spivey, Marion County sheriff’s captain, said the woman hid in the house while the man continued to look for her. That’s when she took matters into her own hands—in the form of a legally owned firearm—shooting the would-be attacker in the abdomen. The sheriff said that investigators did not know the name of the man, but charges will be pending. “We don’t know what his plans or motivation were,” said Spivey.

Fortunately, even the evilest intention can be stopped by a good woman with a gun.
