Actress and Fox News contributor Stacey Dash has revealed why she is such a staunch Second Amendment supporter. In her new book, There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative, Dash reveals that she was sexually assaulted by an ex-boyfriend.
In an interview with People magazine, Dash talks of enduring a long-term physically abusive relationship. After she broke it off, he continued to stalk and harass her—ultimately raping her at gunpoint one night while her son was asleep in the crib next to her.
When the attacker returned, Dash was ready. She had her own gun now and she refused to play the victim any longer. She fired her firearm and the rapist fled.
"A gun saved my life," declared Dash. "That's why my Second Amendment rights will not be taken away from me," the passionate defender of the right to bear arms vows.
