Amy Schumer: Couric’s Debunked Anti-Gun Pseudo-Documentary Should Be “Required Viewing”

Comedian Amy Schumer is a hopeless gun-control romantic. Over the weekend, she gushed about Katie Couric on Twitter. “I love @katiecouric for being so cool in general,” she wrote. “But her doc @UnderTheGunDoc should be required viewing.”

Yes, that same “documentary” that was widely discredited for its misleading editing intended to shed poor light on gun-rights proponents. After the deceptive edit was brought to light by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, Couric was forced to make a public apology. And while producer Stephanie Soechtig refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing, she did admit that the film’s production team skirted federal gun laws governing interstate gun purchases.

But apparently, you do whatever it takes in Hollywood to get your gun-control message across. And when you do, you can be assured that Chuck Schumer’s favorite cousin will be the first in line to heap praise on your efforts, no matter how phony.
