Congressional Staffers Refuse Gun-Free Signs, Expose Hypocrisy

Conservative activist James O’Keefe, stating that he was so proud of anti-gun Democrats for standing up and courageously sitting down to protest for gun control, decided to stage a little test. So he created a yard sign that displayed the name of an imaginary gun-control group, Citizens Against Senseless Gun Violence, and a proclamation that read, “This home is proudly gun-free!” He then shopped the signs around gun-control champions on Capitol Hill.

The results likely won’t surprise you, as the hypocrisy was immediately exposed. One staffer for Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., declared, “I’m actually a gun owner,” while an intern for Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., summed up the gist of the comments expressed when he stated, “I feel like that would unnecessarily make my home a target.”

Concluded O’Keefe, “The hypocrisy of the anti-gun lobby is a weapon in itself, and a great threat to the American public.”
