While the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this week continues to reveal a party divided, a new Special Report by NRA News’ Ginny Simone shows that in contrast, many supporters of Donald Trump have united behind the Republican candidate—in no small part due to his stance on Second Amendment issues.
In “Trump: Second Amendment Is On The Ballot,” Simone speaks to Second Amendment supporters around the country, finding they universally agree on whom to vote for this November. However, each has his or her own compelling reason, whether that be wanting women to be able to protect themselves, stemming the tide of radical Islamic terrorists, ending the lunacy of so-called “gun-free zones,” or preserving the future of the Supreme Court—all of which a Hillary Clinton presidency would endanger.
To see why it’s time for Americans who care about freedom to stand together behind Trump as we move toward the pivotal November elections, watch Ginny Simone’s newest special report by clicking here.
DNC Delegate Reveals Hillary’s Deceptive Strategy To Ban Guns
In an undercover video now posted to YouTube, Mary Bayer, an alternate delegate for Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention, revealed Clinton’s sneaky strategy to ban firearms by using rhetoric that hides her true agenda.
Before admitting that Clinton “for sure” supports banning firearms, Bayer said that to impose such bans, “you’ve got to say ‘that’s common-sense gun legislation’” to ensure that Clinton “doesn’t take any positions that are too terribly extreme” and thereby lose the presidential election.
Explaining Clinton’s strategy of “bait and switch”—of saying one thing and then doing something far more extreme—Bayer said the messaging Clinton uses is crucial, suggesting statements like: “We just want to have common-sense gun legislation so our children are safe. You say s--t like that and then people will buy into it.”
New Jersey’s Revolving Door For Murderers
In September 2008, Dontay Brannon was sentenced to 10 years in prison in New Jersey. The 20-year-old Gangster Killer Bloods member pled guilty to aggravated manslaughter of 21-year-old David Campbell. He had also been charged with killing another man and shooting one more—leaving him paralyzed—but those charges were dismissed in a plea bargain.
Despite the nature of his crimes, Brannon was back on the streets well before his 10 years were up. He was released in January after serving a little more than seven years. And he quickly returned to his old ways—the convicted murderer was arrested Monday for illegally possessing firearms while on parole. Two additional loaded handguns were found at his home.
We can only hope that this time New Jersey will put an end to the slap-on-the-wrist justice it’s been doling out to career criminals and gangbangers. The results clearly speak for themselves.
L.A. Bans Magazines That Hold More Than 10 Rounds, Violent Crime Spikes 20 Percent
Last year, Los Angeles imposed a ban on possession of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. So far this year, violent crime in Los Angeles has jumped significantly, Breitbart reports, in a surge of violence that has “police leaders worried.”
The Los Angeles Police Department says aggravated assaults—defined by the FBI as assaults involving weapons and/or injury—have spiked by 20 percent in the city so far this year. In addition, robberies—the taking of property “by fear or force”—are up 16 percent.
Here’s a radical idea: Maybe thugs and robbers of Los Angeles ignore the laws against murder, rape, robbery and the rest just as they ignore the laws that deny their victims the right to have conventional, standard-capacity magazines with which to defend themselves.
N.C. Teen Uses Dad’s Rifle To Thwart Home Intruders
A 13-year-old North Carolina girl used her father’s rifle to protect herself and her little sister, who were home alone, from two home intruders last Thursday.
According to local media reports, police said two sisters, ages 12 and 13, were inside the home when they heard knocking at the front door. When they looked out and saw three men they didn’t know, the older sister grabbed her dad’s rifle.
The suspects then broke through the back door, only to find the girl aiming the rifle their way. They immediately fled the scene. “I am in awe of that young lady,” neighbor Jackie Garrison told WMFY. “To have had that kind of thoughtfulness going on in a time of crisis in her head to where that’s what she did, instead of running and hiding. She probably stopped something major from going on.”
Elderly Woman, Beaten And Battered, Shoots Robbery Suspect
On Sunday, two thugs burst into a Loris, S.C., home, handcuffed the family and began beating the homeowner, 75-year-old Eleanor Ring. But fearing for her life, Eleanor kept her head—and knew where she kept her gun.
Ring told WMBF News a female suspect began asking for money and pills, while a male suspect repeatedly struck her in the head with a firearm. A 78-year-old neighbor, as well as Ring’s 9-year-old foster daughter and infant great-granddaughter, watched helplessly as the male suspect pushed her to the floor.
That’s when Ring made her way to the bedroom, found her own firearm, turned to the suspects and said, “You want to play with guns?” Ring shot the male suspect before both escaped on foot. The grandmother had also been victimized a year earlier by robbers impersonating police officers. “God was with me,” she said.
