Store Clerk Stops Robbery With A Single Shot

A man entered a corner store in Pennsylvania intent on leaving with a sack of stolen cash. Instead, he left with a gunshot wound.

Harrisburg police Capt. Deric Moody told pennlive.com that an armed, masked male tried to rob the establishment around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, approaching a clerk who was standing behind the counter. However, another employee was able to grab a gun and fire a single round that hit the suspect—who immediately fled. A trail of blood was found inside the store, but a steady downpour had washed away any blood trail or evidence outside.

The suspect has still not been located, but both clerks were unharmed and the robber left empty-handed. Store surveillance cameras captured the attempted robbery, and the investigation is ongoing.
