Ruger CEO Says Hillary Clinton A Threat To Gun Rights

posted on August 5, 2016

During a Sturm, Ruger & Co. earnings call Wednesday, the gun manufacturer’s CEO Michael Fifer took a strong political stance in support of the Second Amendment and against Hillary Clinton, according to Business Insider. “This is a unique time in our history because for the very first time ever, we have the nominee of a major political party—one with a very reasonable likelihood of winning the presidency—overtly stating that the Supreme Court got it wrong in the Heller case, and actively campaigning against the lawful commerce in arms,” Fifer said during the call.

To counteract the current anti-gun fervor by Clinton and other Democrat candidates, Ruger also announced that the company has pledged to donate $2 for every firearm sold and match donations to the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action up to $5 million through the November election. Fifer added, "We hope this call to action inspires our customers and all freedom-loving Americans to take action in support of the Second Amendment, especially in the months leading up to the November election.”
