Obama At A Loss For How To Help His Hometown

posted on September 1, 2016

President Barack Obama is “deeply concerned.” Specifically, about his hometown. “Chicago, unfortunately, is one of those communities,” said White House spokesman Josh Earnest, referencing cities that have experienced a spike in violent crime levels. “The president does believe this is something worthy of our attention.”

Worthy, indeed. Deadly violence in Chicago is at record highs with no signs of slowing. Homicides in August alone reached a number not seen in nearly 20 years. Unfortunately, the president has nary a single solution. “I’m not aware of any specific prescription that the president’s prepared to put forward to address the situation just in Chicago,” said Earnest.

Let’s let Wayne LaPierre help him out. Here’s the NRA chief’s message to Obama: “Take violent criminals off the street. Prosecute them under the current federal gun laws, and make sure they don't get to their next crime scene. That's the way to save lives.”
