Anti-Gun Everytown Ad Completely Ignores Gun Safety

Once again, Michael Bloomberg’s so-called Everytown for Gun Safety proved that it knows nothing about gun safety but is all about foisting more restrictive gun-control laws on America’s law-abiding gun owners.

In a misleading advertisement promoting the anti-gun so-called “universal” background check initiative in Maine—on the ballot as Question 3—Everytown depicted a grandfather and grandson in the field. Ironically, this group that claims to be about gun safety disregards basic fundamentals of safe gun handling, as neither grandfather nor grandson appear equipped with eye and hearing protection while shooting.

As NRA-ILA pointed out in an alert: “This depiction isn’t too surprising given that actual firearm safety has never been the focus of gun-control groups. Despite the moniker, Everytown for Gun Safety—unlike the NRA—doesn’t make available actual gun safety training services, programs or classes for adults and children who want to be ‘responsible and safe’ with guns.”

NRA Buys Ads In N.C. Senate Race

The National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has launched an ad campaign in North Carolina aimed at defeating Deborah Ross in her bid for the U.S. Senate. The seven-figure buy will run on both broadcast and cable television in the Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro and Wilmington media markets.

“Deborah Ross voted against personal liberty and the right to self-defense in the state legislature,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “Deborah Ross would push former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun- control agenda in the U.S. Senate, undermining law-abiding North Carolinians' fundamental right to self-defense. The NRA is urging our members and supporters in North Carolina to defend freedom. Defeat Deborah Ross.”

“Deborah Ross sure is smooth,” the commercial begins, then details a number of promises Ross has made. The commercial then concludes: “That's what she says, but that's not how she votes. Defend freedom. Defeat Deborah Ross.”

Good Guy With Gun Stops Bad Guy With Knife

The apparent terror attack Saturday night in Minnesota, in which a suspected radical jihadist attacked several shoppers with a knife at a St. Cloud mall, was stopped by a good guy with a gun.

According to media reports, the attacker—who was dressed in a private security uniform—asked some victims whether they were Muslim before assaulting them, and referred to Allah during the attacks.

Thankfully, an off-duty police officer from another jurisdiction was also shopping at the mall at the time. That off-duty officer confronted and killed the suspect, who had already injured eight shoppers in attacks at various locations in the mall.

On Sunday, an ISIS-linked news agency said the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic state.”
