On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., went on NRATV’s “Stinchfield” to rally support for the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill he recently introduced in Congress. “It’s so important we get this conceal carry reciprocity done to protect law-abiding citizens who are trying to do the right thing,” said Hudson, who is a leading member of President-elect Donald Trump’s Second Amendment Coalition.
Demonstrating why our God-given right to self-defense must extend past state lines, Hudson recalled the reckless behavior of a New Jersey “liberal with a beef” prosecutor who put a single mother in jail for carrying a firearm across state lines, yet let Ray Rice off with a slap on the wrist after he beat his girlfriend. “They put her in jail for 40 days and she was looking at five years in prison,” Hudson said.
