Wary of possible terror attacks by radical Islamists, the Czech Republic government is encouraging citizens to arm themselves against a possible “super-Holocaust.”
The country’s interior minister is also pushing a constitutional change that would let citizens use guns against terrorists if attacks occurred and police were delayed or unable to get to the scene.
The Czech Republic, with some of the most lenient gun laws in Europe, is home to about 300,000 people with gun licenses, who own some 800,000 firearms. Unfortunately for Czech citizens, however, rather than seeing rights increased, they’ll likely see them further restricted, thanks to recent reforms passed by the EU—reforms that were strongly opposed by the Czech government.
Another Gun Hater Nominated For CA Attorney General
On Tuesday, the California Assembly is scheduled to begin confirmation hearings for U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra to be California’s next attorney general.
If confirmed, Becerra—rated F by NRA’s Political Victory Fund—would simply be more of the same in replacing rabid anti-gun AG Kamala Harris. In his 23 years as a U.S. representative, Xavier Becerra has consistently voted against your rights when it comes to hunting and Second Amendment-related issues.
It’s important for California’s besieged gun owners that the next attorney general not use the office to further diminish Second Amendment rights. You can learn more about Becerra’s dismal record here.
Use Your Power!
NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action encourages all California gun owners to contact their state assembly member and ask them to oppose Xavier Becerra’s confirmation as California attorney general. You can do so byclicking here.
According to local media reports, the pit bull attacked the neighbor’s blue heeler last Wednesday and was biting the other dog’s head and neck when the blue heeler’s owner tried to separate the two. The owner was then bitten and, fearing his dog was dying, he shot and killed the pit bull.
The man who shot the dog will not face criminal charges since he was defending himself and his dog. Animal control officers are investigating the case to determine if the pit bull's owner will face any charges.
