Still Time To Speak Out Against California Anti-Gun Legislation

posted on October 11, 2017

NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action is reminding California gun owners that there is still time to contact Gov. Jerry Brown and ask him to veto three anti-gun bills currently on his desk.

The measures are Assembly Bill 7, which would further restrict the open carry of an unloaded firearm on public property by including unincorporated areas as prohibited places; Assembly Bill 424, which would remove the authority of a school district superintendent, his or her designee, or equivalent school authority to provide written permission for a person to possess a firearm within a school zone; and Senate Bill 464, which would further increase the mandatory storage and security requirements for licensed firearms dealers.

Gov. Brown has until Oct. 15 to either veto the bills, sign them into law or let them take effect without his signature.

USE YOUR POWER!

California gun owners are encouraged to contact Gov. Brown and urge him to veto all three of these bills. His office phone number is (916) 445-2841 and fax number is (916) 558-3160. You can also contact the governor directly by clicking here.
