Wayne LaPierre Fights For Freedom On Hannity

NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre joined Fox News’ Hannity on Thursday, where he let Dianne Feinstein, Chuck Schumer and their anti-gun minions know that the NRA will not tolerate their use of a tragedy in their war against the Second Amendment.

"The elites always protect themselves and they always protect themselves with guns. And then they lecture the American public how you shouldn't do that,” LaPierre said. “What the NRA is fighting for is reciprocity, to enforce the existing federal gun laws and to protect Americans' right to protect themselves."

Thursday afternoon, LaPierre and NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox released a joint statement, which called on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review the Obama era decision to allow bump stocks under federal law.

“What the NRA has said is that we ought to take a look at that and see if it’s in compliance with federal law and if it’s worthy of additional regulation,” LaPierre said. “That being said, we didn’t say ban, we didn’t say confiscate.”

LaPierre made clear that the NRA remains unwavering in its mission to to preserve Americans’ Second Amendment rights. “The good people want to protect themselves, they want to defend themselves. That’s why we are fighting for reciprocity,” he said. “And they want to preserve this freedom that they know the elites protect for themselves, yet take away from the honest people and the average people. And by gosh the NRA is not gonna let that happen.”
