NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and made a call for national reciprocity to be passed. In light of the shooting in Las Vegas, Cox noted that Americans are looking for answers, but they’re also looking for Congress to respect the Second Amendment.
“This distraction of gun control does nothing to keep people safe,” Cox stated. “Gun control is a failed policy. We have tried it, and it is safe to say that it doesn’t keep people safe.”
Cox went on to point out that while the NRA is spending millions of dollars each year to teach safe and responsible gun ownership, Hollywood is making billions off promoting gun violence. There needs to be an honest conversation about solutions that work, said Cox, and one of those is to make sure the Second Amendment is supported and protected, and that law-abiding, good people have the ability to use and carry a gun for self-defense.
