This morning, NRATV’s Grant Stinchfield took a closer look at two bills in New Mexico touted as legislation designed to shut down private sales at gun shows. Backed by billionaire gun-hater Michael Bloomberg, these bills go much further, criminalizing many private transfers to friends, loved ones and even relatives. They call for any transfer of a firearm to be run through a firearms dealer—complete with a background check and extensive paperwork.
The same process would be required for simply loaning your gun out—and again when it was returned. “That’s the definition of ‘over burdensome’ regulations that will get good people caught up in a criminal system,” Stinchfield said. “The people of New Mexico must fight back. I promise you, pushing back works.”
“Stinchfield” airs live on NRATV weekdays at the top of the hour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET.
