Ohio Dairy Queen Employee Creams Would-Be Robber With One Shot

posted on February 22, 2017

Speaking of “just desserts,” a little past 10 p.m. on Sunday night, a man walked into a Mayfield Heights, Ohio, Dairy Queen and proceeded to point a gun at the employees—then he demanded all the money. What he got was a bullet for his troubles.

Police tell Fox 8 News that a DQ employee, who holds a CCW permit, drew his gun on the suspect and fired once. The bullet stuck the would-be robber, who then fled the store on foot. The suspect was apprehended a few hours later near the Interstate 271, and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening wounds.

Mayfield Heights investigators have not released the identity of the suspect, nor of the employee who stopped the robbery with just one well-placed shot.
