NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox Introduced Vice President Mike Pence At CPAC

NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox introduced Vice President Mike Pence at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Thursday evening. The vice president was also honored with the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award.

Cox’s remarks reflected on the NRA’s immediate and unwavering support for President Trump as well as their instrumental role in stopping Hillary Clinton’s march to the White House.

“The NRA hasn’t backed down from a fight in 146 years, and we sure as hell weren’t scared of Hillary Clinton,” Cox said. “So we made the earliest endorsement in our history, when we endorsed Donald Trump for president in May.”

He continued: “We were criticized, we were ridiculed by the mainstream media. And you know what, we didn’t care and we didn’t flinch.”

NRA CEO and Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre is also scheduled to speak. His speech is slated for Friday at 1 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on NRATV.

NRATV is streaming live wall-to-wall coverage from CPAC 2017 on NRATV.com.
