Colorado Senators Could Vote On Magazine Ban Repeal

Will Colorado finally get its chance to repeal one of the onerous gun control bills that put a limit on so-called “large-capacity” firearm magazines? Senate Bill 7, sponsored by three Republicans—Sen. Vicki Marble, Rep. Stephen Humphrey and Rep. Lori Saine—passed through the Senate State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee last week, and could now be heard as soon as this week in the Colorado Senate.

SB 7 would repeal the 2013 statute that banned the possession, sale or transfer of any magazine that held more than 15 rounds of ammunition or, for shotguns, any magazine holding more than 28 inches of shells. Repeal of the law would enable law-abiding Coloradans to more effectively defend themselves and their loved ones should the need arise.
