Driver Who Ran Over Man In Road Rage Attack Stopped By Gun Owner

posted on February 9, 2017

A man driving a pickup truck was run over by the driver of a commercial truck not once, but twice. However, the passenger in the pickup drew his gun and ended the assault.

Montana Police say it was a case of road rage when a man in a Ford F-150 apparently cut off a Billings cargo truck driver, who proceeded to chase the Ford. When the Ford finally parked, the driver and occupant got out of the pickup—then the driver of the cargo truck sped at both men. The pickup driver was hit, then run over again.

At this point, the passenger in the Ford grabbed his pistol and detained the commercial driver until officers showed up. Unbelievably, the driver of the pickup had minor injuries, while the van driver will likely face assault and attempted vehicular manslaughter charges. Authorities say the armed citizen’s actions are justified and he will not be charged.
