U.S. Army Veteran: Trump Boosts Military Morale

During his speech aboard a new aircraft supercarrier, the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford, President Trump touted his plan to increase military force and reiterated his campaign promise to increase the country's defense budget by $54 billion. Former U.S. Army Ranger Chuck Holton joined NRATV’s Grant Stinchfield Friday to commend the president’s support for the nation’s foremost defenders of freedom: “Barack Obama went way out of his way not to offend our enemies,” Holton said. “I can guarantee you the morale in the military has shot up since Donald Trump was elected.”

Holton continued: “It’s good to see him talking about giving them the tools they need. The number of Navy ships today is so low. It’s half of what it was in the ‘90s. The bottom line is that Barack Obama’s administration tried to change the way that they count Navy ships. To call all ships in the navy—over 400 ships—combat ships, when in reality we have about 271 combat ships. They were trying to call hospital ships and costal frigates war ships, which they are not.”
