Observer.com Calls Out Media Over Suppressor Lies

posted on March 31, 2017

Turns out we’re not the only ones calling out the so-called “mainstream” media on all the lies they have been telling about firearm suppressors since the introduction of the Hearing Protection Act in the U.S. Congress.

In an Observer.com story titled “Why Is It So Impossible for the Media to Be Honest About Guns?” political columnist Ashe Schow called out the media on suppressor and other gun lies in a big way. “We’re taught in writing classes to ‘write what you know,’ or, at the very least, research what you don’t know so that you end up knowing it,” Schow wrote. “If the mainstream media took that to heart, then we’d never see articles about guns again.”

After pointing out the wide array of lies media are telling about suppressors, Schow summed up the situation concerning the media and guns quite succinctly. “After the 2016 election, the Decision Desk’s John Ekdahl asked journalists if they knew anyone who owned a pickup truck,” she wrote. “I think it’s time to ask journalists if they know anyone who owns a gun (or have ever even spoken to someone who does or who uses one regularly).”
