During his appearance, Cox spoke on President Trump’s historic first 100 days: "We now have a Supreme Court back on the side of individual freedom, back on the side of the Second Amendment," he said. "We have someone in the White House who supports the Second Amendment. That’s a big shocker after 8 years of Barack Obama."
He continued: "So, we’re already seeing some great benefits. We’re already seeing some great action items as far as Second Amendment and as far as gun owners, but we’re just getting started."
Cox then discussed the excitement around President Trump’s involvement with this year’s NRA Annual Meetings: "Having the president at the meeting I think is going to send a great message to the country and a great message to NRA members who worked so hard last year to help him get elected."
Trump will address the crowd at the annual NRA-ILA Leadership Forum on April 28 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Last year at the same event, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox first announced that the NRA was endorsing Donald Trump for president, kicking off several months of unwavering support that in the end helped Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.
