Chris W. Cox: The Fight For Reciprocity

NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox isn’t accepting the mainstream media’s silence while anti-gun forces work to deny our Constitutional freedom. In a powerful new NRA ad, "Reciprocity," Cox says: "If 10 states made it a felony to read the New York Times, the media would run the story 24/7 until Congress fixed the assault on the First Amendment. But when 10 states criminalize the Second Amendment, the media says nothing."

Cox’s new commentary comes after billionaire anti-gun advocate Michael Bloomberg and Everytown for Gun Safety president John Feinblatt threatened to spend $25 million to stop national concealed-carry reciprocity. However, voters made their voices loud and clear during the election, choosing a pro-gun president and ensuring both houses of Congress remained gun-friendly.

The NRA leader asserts that if the full breath of the Second Amendment is not restored, every other freedom is in danger: "When states can deny one constitutional freedom, they can criminalize the entire Bill of Rights. On behalf of America’s 100 million gun owners, we will fight until the full measure of our Second Amendment freedom is restored to every citizen in every corner of the land."

"Reciprocity" is the latest in the NRA’s nationally successful "Freedom’s Safest Place" campaign. The new spots will air on national television and on NRATV. Watch Chris W. Cox’s new video above and on NRATV.
