Oklahoma Woman Shot Ex-Boyfriend As He Broke Into Her Home

posted on April 22, 2017

New details are emerging from a story covered here on Thursday.

The southwest Oklahoma woman who fatally shot a man breaking into her home was defending herself from a recent boyfriend. The victim told police she was awakened just after 8 a.m. by Rocky Stamper, who was reportedly standing over her bed before shoving a handgun into her face and making death threats.

The victim then grabbed a gun she kept under her pillow and fired, striking the intruder. Police found Stamper unresponsive, and he later died at a local hospital. The resident told authorities she has no idea how Stamper got into her home, as he did not have a key nor was he expected. She also stated that the two had an ongoing relationship that had recently ended.
