On Wednesday, NRA announced its endorsement of Karen Handel for the U.S. House of Representatives for Georgia’s 6th District. Handel will face Democrat Jon Ossoff next month in a special election to fill the vacant seat of Republican incumbent Tom Price, who was appointed U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services for the Trump administration.
Handel served on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners before being elected secretary of state for Georgia. During her political career, she has supported national concealed-carry reciprocity legislation; opposed all new bans on firearms, magazines and ammunition; and supported repeal of Obama administration policies that denied millions of veterans and seniors their firearm freedoms. Her defense of our Second Amendment rights has earned her an “A” rating from NRA-PVF.
“In Congress, she will defend our right to keep and bear arms,” NRA-PVF chairman Chris W. Cox said. “We’re asking every freedom-loving Georgian in the 6th District to vote Karen Handel for Congress in the June 20 special election.”
