More Than 81,000 Attend NRA Gathering In Atlanta

A grand total of 81,836 National Rifle Association members attended the 146th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta, Ga., last weekend—the second-largest attendance in Annual Meetings history.

Highlights of the event included outstanding speeches by President Donald Trump, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre and NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox, along with a show floor featuring 15 acres of new guns and gear on display. Members were also able to witness the election of Pete Brownell as the new president of the Association, with Richard Childress elected first vice president and Carolyn Meadows elected second vice president.

Only the 2013 NRA meeting in Houston attracted more attendees than this weekend's festivities, with an estimated 86,228 members present. Next year’s NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits is scheduled for May 4-6 in Dallas.
