"Can you imagine what would've happened had this law-abiding American not have been there?" Loesch said. "This man, as amazing and heroic as his actions are, he is but one of 2.3 million instances in which a firearm was used to defend lives."
Loesch goes on to reiterate that the statistics she's citing aren't made up by the NRA; rather, she says, she's citing a collection of FBI crime data that has even been "cross-examined by lifelong Democrat criminal researchers."
She also notes the 2013 CDC report commissioned by President Barack Obama which discovered that "between 500,000 and three million instances of defensive gun use occurs annually."
"This man is one of those individuals," Loesch said. "This shows you that law-abiding Americans are responsibly using their firearms in defense of their lives and other people's lives. Vastly more, Grant, than criminals illegally possessing and using."
