NRA’s Dana Loesch Takes On Virginia Governor Over Remarks After Shooting

posted on June 16, 2017

NRA Spokesperson Dana Loesch appeared on several talk shows in the aftermath of the shooting of Republican congressmen in Arlington, Va. Immediately following the attack, Gov. Terry McAuliffe went before the media and issued a plea for more gun control.

On Wednesday night’s edition of “The Story With Martha MacCallum,” Loesch blasted McAuliffe and stated that "this isn’t a gun issue.” She appeared alongside Mark Glaze, former executive director of Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown For Gun Safety, and reminded viewers that guns save lives, as this tragedy proved.

On Thursday’s "Fox & Friends," Loesch called out the language of the left—a beheaded prop of the president, a presidential assassination Shakespeare play in the park, cursing out the Republicans from the stage of the California Democratic convention—and noted that you can’t have this environment and not expect it to affect people in a negative way. She went on to accuse McAuliffe of raising the left’s rhetoric to another level on “America’s Newsroom.”
