posted on July 22, 2017

An employee at a Florida pizza parlor used his legally carried firearm to stop an armed robbery at the shop on Tuesday night.

According to local media reports, two masked men walked into the Sarasota, Fla., Pizza Hut at about 11:30 p.m. When one of the robbers pointed his gun at an employee who is licensed to carry a concealed firearm, the employee drew his own gun and shot the robber.

21-year-old Shawnathan Young was later treated for a gunshot wound and then charged with armed robbery. The three men who were in the car that brought Young to the hospital were also arrested.
