That just might be what a Verizon Wireless clerk asked a suspect who tried to rob the store—and who was shot by the employee for his trouble.
In a brazen daylight robbery last Thursday, two men walked into a Verizon store, pulled guns, then demanded money and phones. However, a clerk in the back of the store drew his gun and fired, wounding one of the suspects and sending the other scrambling back to his minivan. When police arrived, they found the wounded suspect “awake and breathing” in the back of the store while the clerk still had “both guns in his hands” waiting for authorities.
The Star Tribune is reporting the clerk has a permit to carry a firearm and was unharmed during the incident. The arrested suspect was taken by ambulance for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds, while the second suspect remained at large.
