Hillary Touts NRA Power In “What Happened”

posted on September 20, 2017

While Hillary Clinton’s new book, What Happened, is chock full of lies, at least the failed presidential contender recognizes the role 5 million law-abiding National Rifle Association members played in her defeat.

The book, and Clinton’s corresponding book-signing tour, mainly serves to assign blame to the politicians, journalists, organizations, countries, prejudices and technologies she claims caused her defeat. But gun rights supporters will be happy to know that NRA is featured prominently.

“As for the NRA, it kept its promise to do everything it could to stop me,” she wrote. “All told, the gun lobby spent more than $30 million supporting Trump, more money than any other outside group and more than double what it spent to support Mitt Romney in 2012. About two-thirds of that money paid for more than 10,000 negative ads attacking me in battleground states.”

We can all be thankful for that.
